Peacekeeping is the next level of training that follows the “101” de-escalation training in our non-violent movement. If you have taken the “101” training and are ready to work in teams, this is your next step! The Bellingham Peacekeepers are volunteers that offer peacekeeping support for protests and actions in Whatcom County.
We will offer role plays that help us work in teams, learn about communication and a simple command structure to employ. We will continue to practice centering, and meeting the challenges of remaining calm in chaotic environments. Build your skill set and confidence while building the relationships that will sustain us through these times. Join us to become part of a community that is ready to support many organizations mobilizing in our community.
More details on location and logistics after you register. Come with an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a readiness to practice. Prefer if you have taken the “101” training, but let us know if you have significant other experience and would like to join.
