March for Climate Justice--Court house to Everhart Park

Start: Saturday, September 08, 2018 2:00 PM

On September 8, thousands of rallies will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us.

Join us as we hold our local leaders to account and demand that they walk the talk on climate action. Here are a few more details about the March for Environmental Justice. Welcoming everyone will be Mayor Dianne Herrin. The keynote speaker is Maya van Rossum, the Delaware River Keeper. We will have other speakers and some musicians on the program including Rev. Kyle Boyer. Silvia Martinez Uribe will review her career change from chemicals to natural healing.

At a bit after 3 pm, West Chester's former mayor, Jordan Norley will speak and then lead a march to Everhart Park which is about 6 blocks away. There we will have additional speakers, yoga in the park, illustrating your own reusable shopping bag, voter registration--non partisan, and food. Many activities for children. All welcome. Please note: the rain date for this event is Sept. 9. Watch this website for a rain postponement to be decided at noon of the 8th.
