March for Medicare for All (Washington D.C.)

We are joining the biggest Medicare for All march in history this Saturday! On July 24, come out in support of the March for Medicare for All, with events hosted in 50 cities across the country to demand Medicare for All, with the leading event here in DC! Metro DC DSA comrades will be meeting at this event to show our support for this transformative legislation to reimagine our health care system.

Speakers include:

Maryanne Williamson - Former Presidential candidate
Paula Jean Swearengin - 2020 Democratic nominee for Senate in West Virginia
Rev. Annie Chambers - civil rights activist leader
Margaret Flowers - Physicians for a National Health Program advisor
Scott Desnoyers - Healthcare and suicide prevention activist
Lee Camp - Host of Redacted Tonight
Emceed by Savage Joy Marie Mann - Healthcare activist, Host of The Unruly Hour
Music by DJ John Murph, Andrew D'Angelo and Tim Bracken.

Schedule:
10:30am - Meet at Lincoln Park, we will first gather across the street from Wine & Butter Cafe & Market
11:00am - Walk together to Lincoln Park east of the Capitol Complex in Washington
11:45am - Opening speeches
12:30pm - March
02:00pm - Return to Lincoln Park for speeches, a vigil, and live entertainment
