The Cost of Collins - A March of Accountability

Start: Monday, October 05, 2026•09:00 AM

End: Friday, October 09, 2026•03:30 PM

Location: Susan Collins's Biddeford Office• 160 Main St, Biddeford, ME 04005 US

From Monday, October 5, through Friday, October 9, we will be marching from Biddeford to Augusta to highlight Sen. Susan Collins’ history of voting to give billions of dollars to ICE while making harmful cuts to healthcare, SNAP, and other programs Mainers rely on. Her votes have led to Mainers being terrorized and kidnapped by ICE, losing access to healthcare, and going without food assistance, and have caused hospitals and labor and delivery centers to close around the state.

Each day we will walk for about 16 miles, stopping at four of Collins' state offices and meeting people all along the way. Each evening, we will gather in celebration of the movement and share some food and community! On Friday, we will deliver petition signatures and stories to Collins' Augusta office.

There are many ways to show up!
  • Walk all or part of the march.
  • Drive a support car for all or part of the march.
  • Drive a shuttle car bringing walkers back to the start point at the end of their section.
  • Help as a marshal or with de-escalation.
  • Help with the reception at the end of each day where walkers will be welcomed with food and open arms.
  • If you have been directly impacted by ICE, the loss of healthcare or the loss of SNAP benefits, share your story at the press conference. We will help you with what to say.
  • Help spread the word!
