The best way to tackle climate change is fighting for large scale solutions that match the large scale of the problem. We need to put Maryland on a path to carbon neutrality and put an end to unjust dirty energy practices. Join us for a Climate Lobby Night to advocate for three bills that make will make truly impactful systemic change. These bills will:

  • put Maryland on a path to net zero by 2045 and take several immediate actions

  • create a climate test for power plant permits in our state

  • end incentives for trash incineration in our renewable energy requirement

Who: You, and other new and experienced climate activists across the state.
What:  Maryland Climate Lobby Night: A night to meet your legislators face to face and demand action on climate now
When: President’s Day, February 17th, from 3:30 - 8:00pm
Where: We will convene at Asbury United Methodist Church, then head over to the General Assembly office buildings for meetings with legislators
Why: Because future generations are depending on us to take action now!

Do you have a little extra time? We are looking for district leads to help lead a small group of their fellow constituents at the lobby night. We'll need a commitment of a few meetings in the weeks beforehand. No experience necessary: just your enthusiasm and time!
