Caring Majority Rising Day of Action, Tues, May 27, 10:30am-3:30PM, NYS Capitol, Albany NY, Time is running out to save CDPAP

Join us for a day of action at the state Capital to defend the consumer-directed program from the disastrous transition to a single for-profit company, PPL, and to fight for true investment in home healthcare.

Our population is aging. More and more people need home care each day. Yet we have the greatest home care shortage in the nation. New Yorkers need fair pay for home care and access to home care for anyone who needs it. New Yorkers DO NOT need short-sighted reforms, corporatization and cuts that will destroy our home care system.

Our day will include rallying, visibility, legislator outreach and community building! Lunch will be provided. Support with transportation available upon request.

Wheelchair accessible, spanish interpretation will be provided, proof of a negative COVID test is required, masks are highly encouraged. We will have extra tests and masks on site. Please note, that testing and masking is not required in the NYS Capitol. That said, we are taking precautions to protect those of us who will be working closely throughout the day.
