On January 23rd, nearly a million people in the Twin Cities participated in a day of “No Work, No School, No Shopping” to kick ICE out of their community. Now, unions, faith groups, community organizations, and working people around the U.S. and in Wisconsin are calling for a mass day of action on May 1st, 2026. All around the world, May 1st is celebrated as May Day– International Workers’ Day, the real Labor Day. This year, MADSA is celebrating by calling on our members and community to STRIKE OUT ICE and join the Voces de la Frontera "Day Without Immigrants" May Day March and Rally
We will stand with Voces de la Frontera and working people across Wisconsin to demand:
Abolish Ice
Citizenship For All
An Economy For All
End Act 10 and Right to Work
Fully fund public schools
Badgercare for all
Living wage for all
End 287(G) agreements
Ice Out Of Our Courts, Schools, And Communities
Close Mke's Detention Center
