Join us on Thursday, April 16th, at 7:00 pm ET for our May Day Community Planning Call as we gear up for May Day and the vital work of bringing our people into the streets. We'll focus on how to effectively reach our peers, grow our mobilization efforts, and build momentum for one of the most powerful days of collective action and resistance.
May Day is more than a march — it is a declaration that immigrant communities belong, that workers deserve dignity, and that our solidarity is stronger than fear.
Context:
Thousands of organizations are calling for No School. No Work. No Shopping on May Day 2026.
A coordinated refusal of business as usual to show that when the system is rigged against working people — especially immigrants who are too often exploited, excluded, and targeted — we don’t have to go along with it. Our communities help power this country, yet too many immigrant families face unfair labor conditions, fear, and policies designed to keep them silent.
We are refusing to continue business as usual in a system that clearly does not serve working people who sustain our economy and neighborhoods. When the deal is broken, consent is not automatic.
On May 1, 2026, we are standing up for our families and communities through a day of collective action — showing that working people together have the power to demand dignity, safety, and opportunity for all.
Here are our Community Demands:
Tax the rich so our families — not their fortunes — come first.
ICE Out. No secret police serving unchecked federal power.
Protect & expand our democracy, say NO to a consolidated authoritarian regime.
