May Day Rally and March
Start: Thursday, May 01, 2025•04:45 PM

May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day, has long been a global day of action in support of workers’ rights. The date commemorates the 1886 Haymarket affair in Chicago, where labor activists fought (and many lost their lives) demanding the eight-hour workday. Today, we honor their legacy by continuing the fight for dignity, safety, and fairness on the job.
AGMA members in the New York area are encouraged to attend this May Day Rally and March on Thursday, May 1, at 4:45 p.m. ET. Workers and allies from across industries and communities will gather in solidarity to affirm that all workers deserve to be respected, protected, and heard.
AGMA President Ned Hanlon will be in attendance and marching in solidarity. Please use this unique registration link we set up to keep track of our membership attendance!
AGMA members outside of NYC: we encourage you to seek out local May Day actions in your area and stand in solidarity with workers everywhere. This movement is global—and it includes us.
