Medicare for All Rally! Sen. Kim, Co-Sponsor S-1506!
Start: Friday, May 30, 2025•03:30 PM
End: Friday, May 30, 2025•05:30 PM
On May 30th, the New Jersey Universal Healthcare Coalition is rallying in front of Sen. Kim’s South Jersey office in the continued fight to make healthcare a human right! All are invited! Spread the word to family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors. Come and show your support for Medicare for All!
Sen. Kim has NOT signed on as an initial co-sponsor of Sen. Sanders’ Medicare for All Act of 2025 (S-1506).
650,000 NJ residents are without health insurance! The for-profit system also leads to hospitals abandoning low-income and rural communities. 70% of uninsured children in NJ are people of color.
Sen. Kim has met with NJUHC many times over the years, but never backed Medicare for All legislation during his time as a Congressman.
We know that there is no other mechanism to achieve universal coverage that has broad support (polls indicate 70% support among U.S. voters,
and NJ’s own Eagleton Institute 2022 poll shows 71% support among NJ voters) and that has been vetted to the extent of Medicare for All.
?If Sen. Kim does not lead boldly to make a difference in people’s lives, he will continue to allow dangerous, dark, and destructive policies to prevail.
Our current health care system is broken. The Medicare for All Act of 2025 provides comprehensive coverage for all, no out-of-pocket expenses, full freedom of choice regarding providers, and would mean Americans would no longer have to worry about losing coverage
when they lose or change jobs.
Join us to rally for Medicare for All! We also encourage you to join NJUHC as an individual or coalition member.
