Clarissa Dominguez, Legislative Director for Senator Caroline Menjivar will join us on Thursday, February 6 at 2:00 pm PT on Zoom.

Elected to the state Senate in 2022, Senator Menjivar represents Senate District 20, which encompasses Burbank and a large portion of the San Fernando Valley.

She is a first-generation American, daughter of Salvadorean immigrants. Last year she authored SB 1193, which will prohibit leaded aviation gasoline. SB 1497, her bold Polluter's Pay legislation did not pass, but we expect it will be introduced again this year in the Assembly with a few changes in the bill language. She has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem, Mike McGuire, as Chair of the Senate Health Committee. She also sits on the important Environmental Quality Committee, where many important climate and environmental bills are heard.

Legislative Aide for environmental and climate policy, Clarissa Dominguez will meet with us to share Senator Menjivar's legislative goals for the current session and discuss our climate and environmental priorities.

Please use this form to sign up to join this interesting meeting. We'll convene on the same Zoom link at 1:30, a half hour before the meeting, to plan and agree on priorities for our part of the conversation. If you can't make the 1:30 planning meeting, please join at 2:00 to listen to the conversation.
