Meet Zack Polanski and Help Get Tony and Paul Elected!
Start: Friday, April 11, 2025•12:00 PM
End: Friday, April 11, 2025•03:30 PM
⭐️ This year, Doncaster is the only local party across our region with principal authority local elections. It's an exciting time to be a Green in Doncaster as we work to break through as the first councillors on Doncaster Council - and we can't wait to welcome more of you onto this fantastic team. ⭐️
These regional action days are the best regular way to get involved with local Green Party members and campaigners.
There is power in engaging with our local community and we would love you to be a part of it too.
Join us on Friday 11th April for a special extra Postal Voter Action Afternoon with Zack Polanski - your help will make a real difference.
Meeting Point: Tony's house, 12 Halmshaw Terrace, Bentley, Doncaster, DN5 0BD
Meet - 12 noon meet for refreshments and hear from Zack Polanski about our history-making campaign to break through on to Doncaster Council (with an opportunity for some Q&A).
1.30pm - while Zack is doing press and media, you'll be given a round of our Postal Voter letters to deliver - targeting Postal Voters in the crucial few days before their voter packs arrive from the council.
Finish at 3.30pm
What will we be doing?
We'll be focusing on delivering postal voter letters across Roman Ridge ward. We know that this is one of the most impactful pieces of literature to be delivered during the course of the campaign. It's personally addressed and gives clear campaign messages to try and persuade those voters who are yet undecided.
We'll also have a door knocking round available for those who would prefer to speak with voters. Regular door knocking is another vital way to keep in touch with residents and make sure people are aware that Green Party campaigners are working hard all year round for them!
Timings
Please try to arrive on time for the 12 noon session.
Call Tony on 07954 006918 if you are arriving at another time so that he can let you know how to join up with the team.
The Action Day is expected to finish at 3.30pm.
Travel
Closest train station is Bentley.
It's only a 5 minute walk/wheel from Bentley Train Station to Tony's house (meeting point). Call/text Tony on 07954 006918 if you need more information on public transport connections etc.
New to door knocking?
If you've not been to an action day before, we try our best to be a friendly bunch and make sure you're very well looked after! Door knocking training is provided on the day, you'll get the opportunity to practice before you head out, and we'll make sure you're paired with someone who's door knocked before so you can learn from them.
Clothing and appearance
Please do check the weather forecast before travelling. You may like to bring a waterproof coat and umbrella if it's raining, extra warm clothes if it's cold, or a hat and sun cream if it's hot! (wishful thinking!).
Otherwise please come dressed smart casually and if you're door knocking, please come without badges, rosettes or any other branding. We won't judge you, but our voters, who we have to persuade to vote Green to get Tony and Paul elected, will!
