Zack's Visit

We are delighted to announce that our new Green Party leader, Zack Polanski will join us on Sunday afternoon from 2pm. Zack has heard about our fantastic candidate, Zoe Marlow, and he is going to help us campaign to get her elected and keep Woodhouse Park Green.

We are very privileged that Zack is leaving a meeting early to campaign with us before going back home to London. Zack is making such a positive impact in the media and around the country, and we have no doubt that campaigners and local residents will be energised and enthused by his presence.

The Campaign

This is the penultimate weekend before polling day! Once again, we will be delivering those vital leaflets and will be door knocking in Woodhouse Park Saturday 13th -Sunday 14th September. Just under two weeks left before polling day, and the campaign is really hotting up. Our leaflets will be reminding our supporters to send in their postal votes, and we will also talking to target voters on the doorstep.

Both new and experienced door knockers are welcome. If you are new to door knocking, you will be teamed up with an experienced door knocker. No-one will be asked to knock on doors unless they feel confident to do so.

Meeting Points

Forum Centre: Simonsway, Wythenshawe, Manchester M22 5RX – a large blue/grey building, near the Wythenshawe Interchange (buses and trams).

Saturday AM: meet in the Café inside the Forum.

Saturday PM: meet at the Civic Centre meeting point (see instructions below)

Sunday AM: meet in front of the Forum.

Sunday PM: meet at the Civic Centre meeting point (see instructions below)

Civic Centre: The Civic Centre is near the Forum. Once you arrive at the Interchange you will see a short path between TSB Bank and Boots towards ASDA. There are benches in front of ASDA – that is our meeting point for lunch. Please note, the toilets in ASDA are closed. There are toilets at the Forum and Costa Café at the Civic Centre.

10.20 am: Briefing and photo

10.30 am - 1 pm: Deliver leaflets or door knock

1.00-1.50 pm Lunch - Civic Centre meeting point

1.50 pm: Briefing for new arrivals

2.00-4.00 pm: Deliver leaflets or door knock

Sunday 14th September

11.00am: Meet in front of the Wythenshawe Forum

11.20 am: Briefing and photo

11.30am - 1.00 pm: Deliver leaflets or door knock

1.00- 1.50 pm: Lunch - Civic Centre meeting point

1.50 pm: Briefing for new arrivals

2.00 pm:  Meet Zack Polanski

2.20 (approx) - 4 pm: Deliver leaflets or door knock
