Join MI-CEMI on Zoom on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 12:00–1:30 PM ET for a timely conversation about Michigan’s year-end electoral push. Participants will learn how to increase voter engagement, protect access to the ballot, and get involved in local efforts ahead of the election.

Angela Davenport of the Voting Access for All Coalition (VAAC) will discuss voter engagement, including jail voting and other get-out-the-vote efforts. Lynna Kaucheck of Michigan Voices will lead a conversation about election protection. Both sessions will include practical opportunities to take action. Additional details and speakers will be announced soon. Register today to receive the Zoom link.

MI-CEMI’s General Member Convening is a quarterly gathering of advocates, community members, directly impacted individuals, service providers, researchers, and organizational partners from across Michigan. Each convening provides updates on MI-CEMI’s work and current priorities while exploring timely issues related to mass incarceration, criminal legal system reform, and community well-being. Convenings are open to everyone interested in learning more about these issues and connecting with others engaged in this work.
