We need you to turn Mile End Green! 💚

No prior experience or detailed knowledge of policy is required for door knocking- we will provide a briefing and anyone new will be paired up with someone more experienced.

Local elections are often decided by tiny margins - in Mile End there are ~5,900 households, and turnout was ~43% in 2022. Social media is mostly unable to reach these hyperlocal people but door knocking, human connection and a smile just might! 😄

What to expect

• Arrive at the meeting point & meet your event host Martin (one of our candidates)
• Receive a briefing and be allocated a walk, script and leaflets to hand out
• Knock on your allocated doors and speak with residents on the doorstep
• A break for lunch, usually at the Lion Coffee Shop
• Debrief at the end of your session to collect remaining leaflets and completed forms

Can't make the full session or exact schedule times?

Most volunteers try to do at least 2 hours, but we value any time you can spare. If you're running late, please message your event leader on WhatsApp to coordinate meeting up, as they may no longer be at the meeting point.
