Milwaukee DSA will be tabling at the 54th Annual Juneteenth festival. This festival commemorates the day the emancipation proclamation was put into effect, abolishing slavery in the United States. MKE DSA has attended this event several times before and it has been one of the best days to gather petitions and engage the community. DSA is an organization based in racial equality and equity. This is a great chance to make sure that black voices in this city are heard.
Because this is an outdoor event and we are not leading it, we cannot guarantee adherence to the majority of the Milwaukee DSA In-Person / Hybrid Meeting Checklist (based on the Accessibility Standards for Meetings). We can provide hourly breaks, access for service dogs, and wheelchair access. If you have any accessibility requests, please contact the event host, and we will do our best to accommodate.
