Congo Week 2026 is Sunday October 18th to Saturday October 24th! Each day highlights a topic that has made Congo the place it is today: faith, King Leopold II, Patrice Lumumba, minerals, women, freedom, and music.

Science for the People NYC is hosting a teach-in Wednesday October 21st from 6:30-8 PM EST on minerals and the exploitation in the Congo. We will discuss the minerals of the Congo that sustain our technological world, the intertwined colonial and capitalist violence used to plunder Congo's resources, and what paths we must take right now towards a better future. This teach-in is hosted in collaboration with the NYC chapter of the Congo Accountability Network powered by Team Congo. All donations will be going to Team Congo.

Zoom link will be provided via email after RSVP. This session will also be recorded.
