Team Mitch is riding bikes then knocking doors on August 25th. Your timing is right to get involved in the campaign for this event. Many of you indicated on the volunteer form (or in our DMs) that you wouldn’t miss this. You’ll knock doors equipped with everything you need from us (but please bring your phone to make it easier). No experience necessary.

We have fresh new materials printed by UFCW Local 555. We have expert canvassers from Portland DSA and Team Mitch guiding us block by block.

12 - 1 p.m.

For people riding (Pedalpalooza bike ride) to the canvass from the PSU Art Building to Sellwood

Meeting location: 2000 SW 5th Ave, Portland, OR 97201

1 - 4 p.m.

For people starting with canvassing/knocking doors only

Meeting location: We'll meet at the north end of Westmoreland Park across from the fire station (2235 SE Bybee Blvd), near the intersection with SE 22nd Ave.

What to Expect:

Slow-paced bike ride from Downtown (PSU) to Sellwood on some shared streets and mostly bike lanes and bike paths away from vehicular traffic
Lots of fun, talking, walking and warm weather
Snacks and refreshments
Using your fully-charged smartphone (or paper)
Meet team leaders and other volunteers at the start
Review game plan, ask questions, grab materials
A debrief after completing turfs

Canvassing in the neighborhood may involve stairs, inadequate sidewalks and missing curb ramps. You are encouraged to skip or avoid areas that are inaccessible or unsafe.
