Monthly web-meet: April action for the nuclear weapon ban treaty

Start: 2020-04-20 18:00:00 UTC Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney (GMT+10:00)

End: 2020-04-20 20:00:00 UTC Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney (GMT+10:00)

This is a virtual event

Listen, learn, discuss and activate! This event is the first in a series of monthly webinars for anyone interested in the campaign for Australia to join the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

There are many ways we can continue to organise and affect change, while staying safe and adapting to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Coronavirus won't stop nuclear weapons and neither will it stop the campaign. Let us respond with an outbreak of creative resistance!

The first monthly web-meet will discuss the global ICAN Cities Appeal and how we can bring more local councils on board. This is an informal online get-together and an opportunity to ask questions and discuss strategy.

Whether it’s advocating to your local council, parliamentary representatives or super fund, action on nuclear disarmament is necessary. Our goal is clear and achievable: Australia must join the nuclear weapon ban treaty.

Please note the event time is Sydney/Canberra/ Melbourne/Brisbane time (AEST). Times for other locations are as follows:

South Australia: 5:30pm
Western Australia: 4:00pm

Please register to receive the agenda and link to join the chat.

The next monthly ICAN Australia webinars will be on 18th May, 15th June and 20th July.
