Mother Forward Ohio Town Hall

End: Saturday, October 19, 2024•12:00 PM
RSVP for the 10/19 Ohio town hall on childcare
and paid family leave!
Have you ever struggled to find or afford childcare?
Did you receive little to no paid leave after welcoming a new baby?
Were you fired after disclosing your pregnancy to your employer or requesting leave?
You are not alone, and this town hall is for you! Meet up with other moms and families in the greater Steubenville area to share our experiences AND hear from our candidates for federal and state office about their plans to address the childcare crisis and lack of paid family leave in our state and our country.
State Senate candidate Ari Faber and House of Representatives candidate Michael Kripchak have confirmed as well as Jennifer Lyle, Mayor of New Concord, acting as a surrogate for Senator Sherrod Brown's campaign.
The town hall will take place at Froehlich's Classic Corner on Saturday, October 19th at 11:00 am. Both candidates for Ohio's 6th District (Rep. Michael Rulli and Michael Kripchak) as well as both Senate candidates (Sen. Sherrod Brown, Bernie Moreno, and Don Kissick) have been invited and provided with a candidate questionnaire on these core issues. The candidates for the Ohio State Senate District 30 (Senator Brian Chavez and Ari Faber) as well as the unopposed candidate for the Ohio House of Representatives District 96 (Ron Ferguson) have been invited.
RSVP to get reminders and updates, and be sure to invite any mom friends, sisters, cousins, childcare workers, or anyone invested in these core family needs!
The town hall will include time to hear from candidates as well as time for moms to share their experiences and ask questions.
We're looking forward to seeing you there. Remember, together we are powerful. Let's make sure moms thrive so we all can thrive!
Note: This is a non-partisan, non-endorsement event hosted by Mother Forward.
