Everything’s bigger in Texas—including the stakes. This 3-hour immersive session prepares educators, union leaders, and community allies to confront the growing threats to public education, labor rights, and democratic participation—especially in the South and Southwest.
Rooted in the values of equity, justice, and mutual respect, this workshop will explore three key strategies:
· Direct Action as a form of community protection
· Mutual Aid as the infrastructure of solidarity
· Non-Cooperation as long-term resistance
Participants will engage in hands-on exercises, power-mapping, and small-group strategizing. We’ll dig into how local action—especially here in Texas—connects to a national movement for public education, immigrant justice, and democracy.
This is about building collective muscle to face collective threats. Come ready to think, build, and fight forward—together.
