Tesla Takedown is a peaceful protest movement. We oppose violence, vandalism and destruction of property. This protest is a lawful exercise of our First Amendment right to peaceful assembly.

☮️ Please do not engage hecklers or single out individual drivers in a threatening way. Winning hearts and minds is the only way we will accomplish our goals. Aggression will be eagerly documented by our foes and used to discredit our message.

☮️ We support everyone’s right to free speech. However, the national #TeslaTakedown movement recently issued guidance to please reduce usage of “swastika” symbols on signs. Elon Musk has, of course, earned his popular association with such ugly symbols, but we risk being misconstrued or offending potential allies by having them all over our signs. Again, winning as many hearts and minds as possible is our aim.
