This is a virtual event
Last month, a group of us came up with the idea of getting some sewists and other crafters together to talk about ways we can use up our craft stashes and indulge in our hobbies while also creating functional items that can become part of our local mutual aid efforts. Knitters, sewists, weavers, and fabric artists came together to talk about our crafts and, surprise, we loved it so much that we started planning the next round right away, and that was so fun that we're making it a regular thing.
Please join us for impeccable vibes, some fun show-and-tell, and lots of great conversation. Bring your craft along because we'll start with an audio component: a comrade will read a passage from a lefty text of some sort, TBD, while the rest of us work on our project. Then we'll discuss what we read, what we're working on, and go wherever the conversation leads us.
All crafts and art forms are welcome – knitting, sewing, crocheting, jewelry-making, drawing, painting, pottery, woodworking; whatever you're into, you're welcome here!
PLEASE NOTE: The date of this event has been changed to Sept. 25 due to unforeseen (work) circumstances! All other info stays the same!
