The stories we hear and see shape the world we live in. During the second hands-on workshops on October 3 from 2-4 PM PT at the Wende Museum, we will explore our relationships with media, ways to critically think about the media we receive, and how we can create our own media and stories towards a more just and equitable world. We will analyze media and create our own messages with a focus on environmental and climate justice and how these impact our health.

We are building on our first session on September 19. If you attended the first one, wonderful! Thank you to Emma from STAND-LA for sharing what the work towards environmental justice looks like in LA. If you weren't able to make the first session, that is okay and it's absolutely not a requirement to have attended the first.

These events are free for everyone (there is also free parking at the Wende Museum!).

These workshops are facilitated by Dr. Jeff Share, PhD, award-winning photojournalist and educator, UCLA senior lecturer, and author of numerous articles and books on critical media literacy and Dr. Amanda d'Almeida MD, MPH, family medicine physician at UCLA with a background in social media, with over 1.6 million followers, and works to support environmental justice groups.

This session we will also be joined by Sanjana Sekhar, author and narrative strategist who will cofacilitate the workshop.
