Calling all ECTs and Mentors!

Whether you're a student in your final year, a brand new ECT, a qualified teacher with mentoring responsibilities on the horizon, or someone who's got mentoring experience under your belt, join us for a half-day conference to share your experiences, learn from others, and get prepared for what's to come in your teaching career.

We'll start the day at 9:30am with refreshments and a welcome, and have a range of workshops in the morning for both the ECT and Mentor groups, where we'll explore:

• What to expect for both
• Knowing and understanding your rights
• Making the most of YOUR union
• Red Flags and how to approach them constructively
• Time management & time saving tips
• Saying No (a how-to guide)
• Getting the most out of your ECT years and mentoring experience

We'll come together at midday for lunch and a closing session with everyone. We'll have some excellent speakers, and the day promises to be a great start to the new academic year and a fantastic opportunity to network with colleagues across the region in similar stages of their career.

This event is completely free for members, and all travel costs will be reimbursed.
