Influencing your Local Transport Plan (LTP) is a key opportunity to secure improvements to make it easier to get around by public and shared transport or active travel, i.e. without depending on driving.
But the way to do this is changing, due to a combination of new Government guidance on LTPs, new powers and duties for local authorities to oversee (and in some cases deliver) local public transport, and devolution reforms that could (among other things) make it easier to ensure that new housing supports a low traffic future.
