We are standing in solidarity and showing support with Indigenous persons across the globe that have been subject to ongoing oppression, violence and loss of land and rights.

We are standing in solidarity and showing support to environmental protectors, who are concerned with the viability of our future as a planet, as opposed to the success of corporations and perceived economic growth at the exploitation of our people and environment.

At the same time this is not just an Indigenous issue or an environmental issue, because this issue affects everyone on this planet.

If you are not able to make it on December 5th, but this is still an issue that you are concerned about, please do not succumb to apathy. Start a conversation, help to raise awareness on this issue, share this event.

You are part of a collective movement that transcends nations and is inspiring individuals and groups of people across the globe, and it is your individual action that will keep this movement going, no matter how small.

No, this gathering in Red Deer on December 5th is not going to be the be-all and end-all, but if it inspires another gathering, if it helps bring awareness to these issues and brings together like minded individuals in a city and province where it seems that the vast majority stands in opposition to these values...then we will have done our job!!
