Jodie Evans, co-founder of CODEPINK, and decades-long political organizer and activist joins us on Wednesday, 7/28 at 7PM to talk about US-China relations, opposition to a new Cold War, and her global vision for international cooperation and peace. Evans has served as Director of Administration for California Governor Jerry Brown and has travelled across the world advocating for peace and reconciliation in places like Iran, Jordan, and Afghanistan, as well as North and South Korea.
Opposition to a new Cold War with China is founded in the push for international cooperation over international competition or confrontation. Toxic anti-China rhetoric not only propels the US closer to conflict with China, but also gives rise to anti-Asian hate crimes and demonizes the Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in the US. Join us Wednesday, 7/28 at 7PM to discuss these issues and more.
