Start: Wednesday, August 20, 2025•10:00 AM
End: Wednesday, August 20, 2025•11:30 AM
Location:New York State Fairgrounds•581 State Fair Boulevard, Syracuse, NY 13209 US

On Opening Day at the Great New York State Fair (also formerly known as "Governor's Day" ), we will gather to tell Governor Hochul that we want clean water, clean air, and healthy food, not toxic industries and corporations that pollute our communities. Celebrating New York's farmers, food and clean water - and industries like dairy, produce, wine and beer that rely on clean water and healthy soil - has been a cornerstone of what the New York State Fair celebrates and represents. Governor Hochul has been increasingly turning away from the promise of clean renewable energy and starting to embrace the nuclear and gas industries, which would jeopardize healthy food and water in our state. Furthermore, the Trump administration has been pushing for both new nuclear and fracked gas infrastructure in New York, including reopening applications for the Constitution and Northeast Supply Enhancement (NESE) pipelines, both previously rejected based on water quality impacts. We will come together on August 20th outside the fair to say: no nukes, no fracked gas, no dirty energy in our communities. Clean water, air, and food for all.
