No War On Venezuela
Start: Saturday, January 10, 2026•01:00 PM
Location: Fiesta Foods• 115 S 10th Ave, Pasco, WA 99301 US
This Saturday at 1PM, at 10th and Lewis in Pasco, join us in a national day of action against Trump's war on Venezuela!
The Trump administration has spent months bombing Venezuelan vessels, and has now escalated into direct strikes on Venezuelan territory that have killed at least 80 so far. As if this were not enough, the administration has brazenly kidnapped Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores. All of this was done under the racist guise of combatting "narco-terrorism," a myth and pretext the Trump regime immediately dropped after Maduro's kidnapping in favor of speaking their minds plainly: this is a war for Venezuela's natural resources, especially its oil. For more than two decades, Venezuela's oil profits have been re-invested into developing the national economy to benefit all of its people, leading to economic growth and increased prosperity even as Venezuela was forced to endure the weight of crippling U.S. sanctions. Trump and his Wall Street allies cannot stand to see these profits going toward the Venezuelan people instead of into American corporate coffers, and so want to seize Venezuela's resources for themselves. The bombing of Caracas and Maduro's kidnapping are the latest and most serious escalation in a series of economic and violent attacks on Venezuela's independence dating back decades.
These brazen and illegal acts of war are part of Trump's imperialist policy to take over Venezuela and operate it as a U.S. neo-colony. Now, Trump is threatening other Latin American and Caribbean countries, from Colombia and Cuba to Mexico, with the same fate if they dare to resist U.S. domination.
We are joining cities across the U.S. to protest this illegal war, to stand in solidarity with the people of Venezuela, and to defend their sovereignty and the sovereignty of all the countries of Latin America.
