The venue is ADA accessible, and certified service animals are welcome. We will take breaks during Islamic prayer times, and set aside a dedicated space for prayer. We will have fidgets and a dedicated quiet space available for neurodivergent participants who would like to use them. We will provide on-site childcare and simultaneous interpretation if requested by the end of the day on Wednesday, December 3 so that there is enough time to arrange those services.
While ICE continues to target our immigrant neighbors, and cities across the country are being occupied by National Guard troops, Minnesotans must step into our shared values of courage, care, and community. We know that we care for us and we keep us safe.
Join us on Sunday, December 7 from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m. for a free Nonviolent Direct Action Training for the pro-labor, pro-democracy movement!
Whether you have never joined a direct action, or you've planned one, this hands-on training is for you. Together, we will:
- Learn what makes direct actions successful (or not successful).
- Practice key skills for safe, fun, and effective direct actions.
- Connect with fellow community members who are committed to safe, joyful resistance against corporate greed and authoritarianism.
Abundant snacks and beverages will be provided for folks across dietary needs.
This training is hosted by Gender Justice, Jewish Community Action, MN AFL-CIO, the MN Democracy Defense Table, and Women's March MN.
