A by-election is being held in Northumberland Park. We will be holding a hustings on Thursday where Haringey Green Party members will be able to meet the candidates who are hoping to be chosen to stand.

What is a hustings?

At the hustings, candidates will introduce themselves, explain why they are running and answer questions from the audience. The hustings is an opportunity for the Haringey Green Party Membership to hear the views of candidates.

What will happen?

• The councillor candidates will speak for a few minutes about who they are and why they would like to be chosen as the candidate for Northumberland Park by-election

• The meeting will open up for questions from the audience

• Voting will open the day after the hustings: all Haringey Green Party members will receive an email with a link to an Opavote election

• Voting will close on the Sunday following the hustings. (reminders will be sent)

The hustings will be held online, a link will be shared the day before the event. A Green Party officer will moderate the chat and share questions with the room.
