Join Northwestern University College Democrats and Northwestern University Political Union for a town hall with gubernatorial candidate and Evanston State Senator Daniel Biss! The event is open to all Northwestern students, faculty, and alumni, as well as members of the public. It will held Monday, November 13th in the Wildcat Room on the 1st floor of Norris University Center.

Senator Biss grew up in Bloomington, Indiana, and moved to Chicago after completing his Bachelor’s degree at Harvard University and his Ph.D. in mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At the age of 25, he joined the University of Chicago’s mathematics faculty. He left academia to serve in government, first as a member of the Illinois House and then as a Senator for the 9th District of the Illinois State Senate. He is currently one of several candidates running in the 2018 Illinois Democratic Gubernatorial primary. He resides in Evanston with his wife, a Northwestern alumni, and their two children.
