Celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the Entry into Force of this Treaty that makes nuclear weapons illegal. In 2017, 122 nations at the United Nations approved a final draft of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.  These nations represented most of the world's people. The treaty stipulated that it would become international law once 50 countries had ratified it. That happened on January 22, 2021. At present, 68 nations have ratified it and 91 have signed it. January 22 is the second anniversary of the entry into force of this treaty.
