The NYC-DSA Immigrant Justice Working Group is holding its monthly meeting on Monday, April 12th via Zoom Call. RSVP to receive the link and join our call.

The New York State budget negotiations are still in the works, but it's looking like some taxes are being raised on the rich - and Governor Cuomo agreed to a budget establishing a $2.1 billion excluded workers fund, thanks to the incredible organizing of the Fund Excluded Workers coalition and the excluded workers who went on hunger strike for 23 days.

Meanwhile, immigrants continue to go on hunger strike in ICE detention - 36 people at Batavia Detention Center amidst a COVID-19 outbreak infecting over a quarter of the people held there - as people fight for their freedom.

In our monthly meeting, we'll debrief from the Tax the Rich and Fund Excluded Workers campaigns, and we'll hear a presentation on the Abolish ICE NY-NJ coalition's legislative campaign to end ICE contracts in New York, and how to get involved in this fight as part of #FreeThemAll efforts.

RSVP to receive a Zoom link to join our meeting on April 12th at 6:30PM!
