It's almost summer, which means it's time to kick off a great season of bike riding! Join comrades in the NYC-DSA Pedalers Union as we bike to the Rockaways for our first ride in a while! Open to DSA members and non-members alike — bring your friends and family.

We'll be meeting at the corner of 31st Ave and Crescent Street in Astoria at 10:00 am, and then stopping to pick up our Brooklyn riders at 11:15 am at Prospect Park (Grand Army Plaza entrance).  We will be taking 31st Avenue, Vernon Boulevard, and Kent Avenue (protected bike paths), and Vanderbilt/Clermont Ave (marked bike lanes) to Prospect Park, then Bedford Avenue (marked bike lane) and Emmons Avenue (protected bike path) to protected greenway and boardwalk paths to Rockaway Beach (106-01 Shore Front Parkway, Rockaway Park, NY, USA).

This is a no-drop ride, which means we will all bike together, take breaks as needed, and ensure no one gets left behind. Please bring water, food, and any other needed bike and general supplies for a full day of riding and hanging at the beach. Some of us will also be participating in the Zohran for Mayor Rockaway Beach Day Canvass from 1-4 pm and NYC-DSA Beach Day party 4 pm+!
