The political platform which Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) ran on and won with in 2018 is referred to as la Cuarta Transformación or 4T. This platform represents a shift in the political consciousness for millions of Mexicans, not only within Mexico but for Mexicans in NYC as well. What is the 4T? How are Mexicans in NYC embodying the message of la 4T? And what are some of the challenges? Joins us for a panel discussion with the following guests:

Ximena Bustamante is an organizer at the crossroads of feminism, labor and immigrant justice. She is the Founder of the Undocumented Women’s Fund and member of 9M Translocal, a network that brings together grassroots feminist projects across the continent. She is also an Organizing Committee member of DSA Latinos Socialistas.

Esta plataforma representa un cambio en la conciencia política de millones de mexicanos, no sólo dentro de México sino también para los mexicanos en NYC.
