It's hard to believe that is has been a whole year since October 7. A year ago we founded Shoresh here in New York in response to the horrifying massacre and the brutal assault on Gaza that followed. We founded Shoresh to make our voice heard against the war and the Israeli apartheid regime, but also because we felt alone, and we wanted to be in community with Israeli anti-Zionists. A year later, we will get together to commemorate the anniversary to the 10/7 massacre, to mourn together and to strengthen each other, and to continue our work against the genocide in Gaza and the invasion of Lebanon.
We will meet on Sunday 10/6 in Prospect Park for a memorial and internal processing space. Only Shoresh members will be there: it'll be a place for us to be together and process.

We'll meet by the Prospect Park Pavilion which is close to the Lincoln Road and Ocean Ave entrance (same area we had the picnic at, but turn left at the entrance)
