May Day Double Event! - Solidarity School & Fair!

Start: Friday, May 01, 202604:00 PM

Location: Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library 300 Park Ave, OKC, OK 73102 US

This May Day (5/1) join us for a two-part event!

We will first be learning how labor organizing gives us democratic power, building a shared understanding of class solidarity, and looking towards a future general strike on May Day 2028. This part of the event will be held at Ronald J. Norick Downtown Library from 4pm-6pm!

After this, we will move over to Calle Dos Cinco Plaza for our Solidarity Fair! We will hear from a panel of labor organizers and ask them questions, enjoy live music, eat good food, and have good fun! This will be from 6-10pm.

The Solidarity School at the library has a max capacity of 80, which is the max capacity for RSVP's here. The Solidarity Fair at the plaza has NO max capacity, so feel free to attend the Fair even if these RSVP's are maxed out. Both events will be family friendly. There is a 2 mile drive between the two locations; if you need help getting from the library to the plaza, feel free to ask.

This event is being put together collaboratively with OKC Democratic Socialists of America, Indivisible, 50501, Community Response Network, the ACLU, Dream Action OK, and CoopOK.
