Monday April 20, Patriots' Day
8:30am Reverse bike ride to the Boston Patriots' Day Parade
We'll be meeting at our usual spot (Paul Revere Park, Charlestown) at 8:30. Instead
of biking out to Lexington, we'll be biking in to City Hall Plaza. Meet
us at the Uncle Sam Statue in Arlington at 7:30 or the little park
behind Davis Square station (our usual stops) at 7:45 if you want to
join us for the ride in to town. At City Hall Plaza: We'll be locking up our bikes, but keeping our bike helmets and any other bike gear on.
9am Visibility walk along the Boston Patriots' Day Parade
The Boston Patriots' Day Parade will begin 9am at City Hall Plaza, and march to Paul Revere Mall (North End). We invite everyone to bring your No Kings signs, and be visible along the parade route! We will conclude with chants when the event ends. We ask that participants respect the integrity of the parade, which will include speeches, a ceremony at the grave of Paul Revere, and a re-enactment of the ride.
Today, a mad king defies the law and tramples on our democracy. Let us rally in the spirit of Paul Revere as we spread and sound the alarm - No tyranny! No Kings!!
