Our Rev HoCo March Meeting: The Growing Threat of Hindutva in MD & Abroad

Start: Monday, March 11, 202406:45 PM

Please RSVP to come to Our Revolution Howard County's March meeting on Monday, March 11 at 6:45 PM, featuring a Panel Discussion and Presentation by the group No Hindutva MD, on The Growing Threat of Hindutva in Maryland and abroad! The meeting will be in the Belmont-Hockley Room at the Elkridge Public Library at 6540 Washington Blvd, Elkridge, MD 21075. Monday, March 11 is the first day of Ramadan, and so there will be prayer space in the room, and we will take a brief pause at Sunset around 7:10 PM that evening to allow time for Maghrib prayer, before breaking fast with an Iftar meal around 7:15 PM, while we go through general Club Business, before then rolling into our Panel Discussion and Presentation on Hindutva.

Hindutva is a political belief that advocates Hindu supremacy. Originating in India, it is used to oppress people of other religions, and it is spreading -- including in our state and country.

The Panelists will include Ajit Sahi (Advocacy Director of the Indian American Muslim Council), Robert Stubblefield (Bethesda African Cemetery Coalition Leader), Scott Webber (No Hindutva MD Steering Committee Member), and Sweta from the Ambedkar Association of North America.

While we STRONGLY encourage in-person attendance, there will also be a virtual attendance option for the event, which you can register for here.

If you are RSVP'ing for multiple people, please include any additional guests that you plan to bring in the "Additional Guests" box. Registration will end at midnight on Saturday, March 9 for catering headcount.

Note: The Elkridge Public Library is NOT an official co-sponsor of the event!
