How can we talk about the climate crisis in a way that truly connects with people here in Oxfordshire and inspires real change in our communities?
This month we are thrilled to welcome Roger Harrabin, former BBC Environment Correspondent, to lead a discussion on how we can communicate the climate crisis more effectively. Drawing on his evidence to Parliament’s ‘Net Zero’ inquiry, Roger will share insights on how to make climate conversations more honest, hopeful and human.
He reminds us that people don’t trust what they don’t understand, so it’s better to focus on what matters most: cleaner air, cheaper bills, good jobs and healthier communities. Success stories matter too. The UK is already a world leader in climate technology and investment and we should celebrate that progress.
As Rachael Orr, CEO of Climate Outreach, recently said, most people care deeply about nature and climate but are often just trying to get through the week. Our challenge is to make climate action a story of hope, pride and shared progress.
Join us for a thought-provoking evening and leave with practical ideas for communicating climate issues in ways that truly resonate.
Book here and you will be sent details. We will also stream this event on Zoom. A zoom link will be sent out 24 hours beforehand if you register here.
