Palestinian-Jewish Co-Resistance on Israeli Campuses
Start: Wednesday, October 08, 2025•06:00 PM
As the horrors in Gaza continue to unfold, settler violence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem surges, and the far-right Israeli government advances on plans to reoccupy Gaza City, resistance within Israel continues to mount.
Standing Together is the largest Jewish-Palestinian movement against war and occupation - its leadership is made up of Palestinian citizens of Israel and Jewish Israelis. It has led the largest demonstrations for a ceasefire, pushed back against the Israeli far-right that tried to block aid to Gaza, organised aid to Gaza, and have called for Israelis to refuse to serve, blocking roads and airports to push these demands.
They have 12 student chapters on campuses across Israel, led by Palestinians and Jewish-Israelis. Most recently they organising for a student strike to end the genocidal war, bring about a ceasefire, and a release of the hostages and Palestinian detainees.
This meeting is organised by Sheffield Friends of Standing Together, and hosted by the Workers' Liberty student society at the University of Sheffield.
