Join & Global Majority Greens with Greens For Palestine for a powerful conversation exploring the historical roots of Zionist ideology, its ongoing impact on Palestinian lives, and the growing political movement to recognise Zionism as a form of institutionalised racism.
This webinar brings together three distinguished voices in the struggle for Palestinian liberation: acclaimed journalist Ramzy Baroud, renowned academic and physician Ghada Karmi, and Lubna Speitan, co-proposer of Motion A3 (“Zionism is Racism”) at the Green Party Autumn Conference 2026. Together, they will dissect how Zionist policy has shaped decades of occupation, displacement, and now genocide—and why confronting this reality is essential for any meaningful path toward justice.

Lubna Speitan – Host & Co-Proposer, Motion A3
Lubna Speitan is a British-Palestinian contemporary artist and grassroots organizer based in London. She leads frontline activism against the Israeli state’s genocide of Palestinians. As a key figure within Greens For Palestine, Lubna co-authored and proposed Motion A3, which seeks to formally declare “Zionism is Racism” as Green Party policy, a landmark effort to align party doctrine with anti-racist and anti-Zionist principle.
Ramzy Baroud – Journalist & Author
Ramzy Baroud is an internationally recognized Palestinian journalist, author, and analyst who has spent over two decades documenting the realities of occupation, resistance, and Palestinian resilience. His work appears regularly in major global outlets, and he is the author of numerous books including My Father Was a Freedom Fighter, The Second Naqba, and Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions. Baroud provides incisive critique of Zionist narratives and champions BDS as a moral and strategic imperative.
Ghada Karmi – Academic, Physician & Author
Dr. Ghada Karmi is a pioneering Palestinian intellectual, former professor of Arabic Literature at University College London, and practicing physician. She is the author of several influential works, including In Search of Fatima, Imprisoned Life: An Palestinian Woman’s Memoir, Return: A Palestinian Memoir, and One State: The Only Democratic Future for Palestine-Israel. Her writing bridges personal narrative, scholarly rigour, and urgent political analysis, offering profound insight into the psychological and social dimensions of dispossession and exile.
