Palm Sunday Peace Protest - Pasadena

Start: Sunday, March 29, 202602:00 PM

Location: Target - Downtown Pasadena 777 E Colorado, Pasadena, CA 91101 US

On Palm Sunday, the Christian tradition remembers a procession that confronted empire not with violence, but with courage, clarity, and public witness. In that spirit, we invite you to join us for a peaceful and prophetic gathering in response to Target’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion cuts and complicity with ICE.

This will be a nonviolent, song-filled action, hosted by Greater Los Angeles Mennonite Action alongside local congregations and partners. We will gather on the front steps of Pasadena’s Downtown Target to sing in solidarity and to make clear to Target management and consumers that we do not support corporate enablers.

We are calling on Target to:

  • Make it Public: Publicly recommit to and fully restore Target’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives with clear, measurable goals; publicly call for an immediate end to the ICE surge in CA; and publicly call for Congress to stop funding ICE.

  • Make it Stop: Stop shortchanging communities of color by honoring the $2 billion commitment to Black-owned businesses and suppliers.

  • Make it Safe: Affirm that Target will become a “4th amendment workplace” by publicly posting signage denying entrance to immigration agents without signed judicial warrants and training staff on how to respond if immigration agents enter illegally.

We invite aligned groups and individuals to join us in the protest, singing with us in solidarity as we amplify the message together.

Bring a friend. Bring a sign. Bring your voice.
