End: 2021-05-27 19:00:00 UTC Pacific Daylight Time (US & Canada) (GMT-07:00)
This is a virtual event
Please join Urban Environmentalists and Tenants Together for a panel discussion and Q&A to consider how we can bring secure bicycle parking to residential neighborhoods in San Francisco and beyond.
For many of us, but especially for tenants, lack of secure parking can be a major barrier to riding a bike. Whether it's fear of theft when parking on the street, or fear of landlord harassment related to shared breezeways and garages, the logistics of bike storage can be simply too daunting. We'll learn about safe and easy parking options to serve all residents, progress in other cities, and how to navigate any legal or funding concerns in bringing secure bike parking home to the Bay Area. Please bring your questions and come ready to learn!
This event will take place via Zoom. Registered attendees will receive a link approximately 15 minutes prior to the event.

About Urban Environmentalists
Urban Environmentalists’
mission is to address the climate and inequality crises by transforming
cities and towns into inclusive communities designed around people
rather than cars. We value healthy communities and environments supportive of all life;
vibrant, diverse, and nurturing urban communities with abundant housing and opportunities for all;
and efficient, equitable use of our planet’s resources, especially land.
About Tenants Together
Tenants Together
is a statewide coalition of local tenant organizations
dedicated to defending and advancing the rights of California tenants to
safe, decent, and affordable housing. As California’s only statewide
renters’ rights organization, Tenants Together works to improve the

movement-building, and statewide advocacy. Tenants Together seeks to
support and strengthen the statewide movement for renters’ rights.
