JOIN INDIVISIBLE PARIS on May 1st in Paris, France, as we march in solidarity with the national day of action being called in the US by Indivisible and May Day Strong: NO WORK, NO SCHOOL, NO SHOPPING. #WorkersOverBillionaires
We will be participating in Paris’s annual May Day march marking La Fête du Travail. This national public holiday in France honors workers and the labor movement—and remains a powerful moment for collective action.
Updated April 29: Our meeting point is confirmed for 2PM near Voltaire Metro station (Place Léon Blum, 107 boulevard Voltaire) — look for the La Digue tent, which will have music and provide us a festive spot to gather. Bring your signs, and also something to make noise with! We will join the main march from here as it passes, on its way from République to Nation. (Voltaire is mid-route. The total route is relatively flat and accessible). Bring sun protection and water!
Updated April 30: Metro stops service disruptions along the march route (République to Nation) are expected starting from around noon. To reach Voltaire, the closest metro stops are Alexandre Dumas, or Père-Lachaise. Ledru Rollin is also about a 10 minute walk from Voltaire.
MAY DAY STRONG is a network of hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of working people coming together with a common purpose: standing together against the billionaires waging a war on working people.
Our Demands to Build the Society We Deserve:
- Stop the billionaire takeover corrupting our government.
- Protect and defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs for working people.
- Fully funded schools, and healthcare and housing for all.
- Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, women and all our communities.
- Invest in people not wars.
