Peace & Justice Conversation: NH Resists Arms to Israel

Start: 2026-10-19 19:00:00 UTC Eastern Daylight Time (US & Canada) (GMT-04:00)

Event Type: Virtual
A virtual link will be communicated before the event.

A New Hampshire company is connected to the machinery of war in Gaza. We examine SIG Sauer’s military partnerships and weapons sales, including its reported collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries on an armed drone system. Learn how local industry, public accountability, human rights, environmental harm, and the call for action come together—and what New Hampshire residents can do. David DeTour and others from the RAIN working group of the NH Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East will share and discuss the facts and the campaign.

David DeTour grew up in Rowley, Massachusetts, and served in the U.S. Navy Seabees—the Navy’s construction force—from 1974 to 1978. After his discharge, he studied civil engineering then worked as a civil design draftsman with engineering firms before establishing his own business. Since retiring, Dave has become increasingly active in local grassroots organizing. Concerned by the political climate following Donald Trump’s second inauguration, he joined with like-minded neighbors to help launch Southern NH Indivisible, a local chapter of the national Indivisible movement. About a year ago, Dave also joined the New Hampshire Coalition for a Just Peace in the Middle East steering committee to represent SNHI. He has served as a Peacekeeper since No Kings II and is co-captain of a Bridge Brigade team in Manchester.

About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future. There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.
