On this Indigenous Peoples' Day, please join us in welcoming Dr. Jehann El-Bisi, Ed.D for a discussion of the term “decolonization”. She will contextualize some specific, emergent illustrations/examples from the #landback movement, including present struggles and partial victories. She will also share  vital perspectives by indigenous leaders, elders and youth, primarily from Lakota and Diné nations.

Dr. El-Bisi is an independent educator, artist, writer, and curriculum consultant and a member of the NH Peace Action Board of Directors. She has an earned doctorate from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and an advanced graduate summer program certificate in the study of conflict zones and transformation from SIT Graduate School in Brattleboro, VT.

About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future.  There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.
