On Earth Day, let's talk about one of the greatest threats to life on Earth and hear from youth who are working for a nuclear-free world. Leaders of the Students for Nuclear Disarmament (SND) group will speak to us about why they are involved, how they come to the issue, how the threat impacts them, what they're hoping to inspire and lead by organizing SND, and how we can get to work in NH.

Students for Nuclear Disarmament (SND) is a non-partisan coalition of high school, college, and graduate students from across the globe dedicated to ridding the world of nuclear weapons. We are liberals, we are conservatives, and we are everyone in between. We are a motivated group of young, vastly different people united by a common goal: the preservation of the human race.

Rishi Gurudevan is a junior at Phillips Exeter Academy (Graduating 2025) and a former U.S. Senate Page appointed by Senator Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire. He is the founder and a Steering Committee Member of Students for Nuclear Disarmament, a national non-partisan organization dedicated to raising awareness among Gen-Z about the threats that nuclear weapons pose to humanity and uniting young people in urging the U.S. Government to pursue common-sense nuclear weapons policy, an effort which began right here in the Granite State.

Jeremy Love, former NH Peace Action Board member and current National Field Organizer for the Back from the Brink Campaign, will host.

About NHPA’s bi-weekly Zoom Peace & Justice Conversation Series: 2020’s upheavals brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we’ve been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We’d like to bring you into these conversations about issues and options for the future.  There is no charge to attend, but your contributions in any amount are greatly appreciated.
